
Researchers Use Simulation, AI to Prevent Animal-Vehicle Collisions

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 26, 2025) – The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation (NBCAHOF) will honor North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University alumnus, trustee, intellectual property attorney and cultural engagement leader Kimberly B. Gatling ’96 during its annual Hall of Fame Induction and recognition ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel, in Atlanta.
Gatling was selected for induction as part of the 2025 Class in recognition of her exceptional achievements in the category of law. She will join a distinguished list of over 350 Hall of Famers who have been enshrined into the Hall of Fame since 1986.
This year the NBCAHOF celebrates 40 years of honoring the excellence and impact of HBCU alumni. The foundation enjoyed a week-long slate of activities, including the TWD Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament, the Legacy of Leaders Awards Luncheon, the Competition of Black College Queens, the Hall of Fame Induction Gala and more.
Gatling is a partner and chief diversity and inclusion officer with the firm of Fox Rothschild LLP in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she practices in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, software and related licensing and litigation matters.
She grew up in Hampton, Virginia. Gatling graduated cum laude from North Carolina A&T in 1996 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. She graduated from George Washington University Law School in 1999.
Gatling is on the boards of Culp, Inc., and Truliant Federal Credit Union. She formerly served on boards for the United Way of Greater Greensboro, the Cone Health Foundation, Gateway University Research Park, the North Carolina A&T State University Real Estate Foundation, the North Carolina Bar Association, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro and the Women’s Resource Center.
She is a member of Providence Baptist Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Links Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
Gatling is exceptionally proud to be a wife and mother to three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and swimming.
Each year, graduates of historically Black colleges and universities are inducted into the hall for significant contributions they have made in their respective fields. The NBCAHOF promotes the viability of HBCUs and highlights the accomplishments of their alumni.
