North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University alumna Jada Webb ’26, a graduate of the mass communication program in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, has been selected for the highly competitive National Geographic Content Scholarship Program. Offered through a partnership among the United Negro College Fund, The Walt Disney Company and National Geographic, the program provides HBCU students with mentorship, career exploration and professional development opportunities in media and storytelling. Webb is mentored by Danny Clemens, National Geographic’s director of social media, and has contributed research supporting creator partnership strategies across science, travel, wildlife and history content. She credits JOMC faculty members Dr. Daphne Valerius and Dr. Ecaterina Stepaniuc for encouraging her application. Webb also received a $10,000 scholarship and will pursue a master’s degree at the University of Southern California.
