EAST GREENSBORO, NC (Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022) – In light of significant winter weather moving through the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has moved to Condition 2: Suspended Operations, effective immediately. The condition is set to remain in effect through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, with further guidance expected late Monday.
North Carolina A&T observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, and was scheduled to be closed in observance of the holiday. Condition 2 is being continued into the evening to ensure fewer employees are on what may be icy roads Monday evening.
Under Condition 2, “the university remains open on a very limited basis, but has formally suspended all but mandatory operations. Mandatory employees must report to or remain at work; all other employees may not report to work or must leave the workplace.”
Mandatory employees should report to work as directed by supervisors. The university will continue to provide all needed services for the university’s residential students.
For more information on Condition 2, including guidance for employees on how to account for today’s time on leave reports, please reference this link.
Expect information on the university’s operations for Tuesday, Jan. 18, by 5 p.m. on Monday via all usual A&T communications channels.
