EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 6, 2026) – Food 4 Fines has returned at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, giving Aggies another opportunity to turn eligible parking citations into meaningful support for Aggieland.
The initiative, which runs through Wednesday, Oct. 21, is presented in partnership with Campus Enterprises Parking & Transportation Services, Aggie Source, and the Student Government Association.
Originally launched under former Student Government Association President Corey Smith II, the initiative created a way for students to address eligible parking citations while helping stock the Aggie Source Food Pantry.
The results demonstrated the power of Aggies helping Aggies. During the spring 2026 semester, Aggies donated more than 1,780 pounds of food, the equivalent of approximately 1,485 meals, while 200 parking citations were waived through the initiative.
Now, SGA President Loren Long and the 2026-27 IMPACT Administration are building on that foundation and continuing Food 4 Fines for the fall semester.
New this fall, Food 4 Fines is expanding beyond nonperishable food donations to include select personal hygiene products. Aggies can now donate approved essentials such as body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes and menstrual hygiene pads, broadening the initiative’s ability to help meet the everyday needs of students.
Through the continued partnership of the Student Government Association, Parking & Transportation Services, and Aggie Source Food Pantry, Food 4 Fines shows how collaboration across campus can turn a parking citation into an opportunity to serve.
As Food 4 Fines enters another semester, its purpose remains rooted in community: Aggies helping Aggies. With the addition of hygiene essentials, the initiative is expanding its reach while continuing the impact that began with its launch.
Aggies give. Aggies serve. Aggies make an IMPACT.
