National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame to Induct Foster '90, '96

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2026) – The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation (NBCAHOF) will honor two-time North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University alumnus Geoff Foster during its annual Hall of Fame Induction and recognition ceremony Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta.

Foster was selected for induction in the Industry category as part of the 13-member 2026 Class in recognition of his manufacturing innovation and success. He will join a distinguished list of more than 350 Hall of Famers who have been enshrined into the Hall of Fame since 1986.

Foster is an engineer, inventor, entrepreneur and educator whose leadership has advanced American manufacturing while creating new opportunities in STEM. He is a founder, president and CEO of Core Technology Molding Corp., a Greensboro, North Carolina-based injection-molding solutions provider serving the medical device, biopharmaceutical, automotive, heavy-truck, outdoor equipment and aerospace industries. He holds a B.S. (1990) and M.S. (1996) in industrial technology – the latter with a concentration in applied engineering technology – and played football for North Carolina A&T.

In March, Foster and his wife, Tonya, with whom he founded Core Technology, supported the “All Aggies, All In” capital campaign with the single-largest donation by an individual or couple for A&T Athletics. Their son, Jeremiah Foster, is also an alumnus who played baseball for A&T and serves as business development manager for Core Technology, which began production in May at a new 100,000-square-foot, $28 million facility in southeast Greensboro. Many Core Technology employees are A&T graduates, and Geoff Foster often credits Core Technology’s relationship with his alma mater with providing a pipeline to potential team members with strong STEM backgrounds.

Martin II. “From Geoff and his wife Tonya’s generosity to our university to the never-ending line of Aggies he hires at Core Tech to his work in the classroom as an adjunct faculty member, he gives of himself in so many ways. He is truly a giant among us, and we congratulate him on this richly deserved honor.”

Geoff Foster began his career with AMP Inc. and Tyco Electronics, holding positions in quality engineering, product engineering and global product management. During that period, he was awarded U.S. Patent 6,024,591 for a sealed electrical connector developed for Ford Motor Co. More than 31 million of the components have been used in Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar and Mercury vehicles.

After earning an MBA from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management in 2001, he joined Corning Life Sciences, where he managed an $80 million product line and a team of 125 employees.

In 2006, Geoff and Tonya Foster founded Core Technology. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a globally competitive advanced-manufacturing enterprise that operates around the clock and ships products to more than 150 countries. Its continued expansion has positioned Core Technology to support major developments across healthcare, transportation and aerospace manufacturing.

Geoff Foster’s professional honors include being named 2020 Greensboro Entrepreneur of the Year and an Ernst & Young Southeast Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as annual Triad Business Journal Power Player from 2018 through 2025. Core Technology has also received multiple regional business and supplier-development honors, including the 2026 Governor’s Award for Excellence, North Carolina’s top honor for business exporting.

Additionally, Geoff Foster has taught in the A&T College of Engineering’s Department of Applied Engineering Technology for more than 20 years, sharing practical industry experience with future engineers and business leaders. He also founded Molding Kids for Success, a nonprofit initiative that introduces underrepresented young people to science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on learning and exposure to advanced manufacturing careers.

Presented under the theme “Honoring the Giants Among Us,” the 2026 ceremony will recognize Geoff Foster and 12 additional leaders whose achievements exemplify excellence, service and the enduring influence of historically Black colleges and universities.

A specially produced visual tribute highlighting Foster’s journey, accomplishments and impact will premiere during the ceremony before he formally accepts his Hall of Fame honor.
