North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University moved to Condition 2: Suspended Operations Saturday night and will remain on Condition 2 through Tuesday, Dec. 23, to accommodate preventive maintenance work on campus heating systems. Campus heating was shut down Saturday at 11 p.m. and will remain off until 5 p.m. Dec. 28.
The fall semester concluded on Dec. 12, and the majority of students have departed for the holidays. North Carolina A&T is working with remaining students in university housing who are affected by the heating outage.
Employees who had planned to work on campus on Monday and Tuesday should plan to work remotely or take personal leave time. Supervisors and affected employees are encouraged to be in dialogue to reach acceptable arrangements for those two days. The university will be closed the remainder of the week.
