EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 16, 2025) – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host its annual Aggie Shred and Electronic Recycling Day on Saturday, Oct. 18, in the parking lot at Lindsay and Laurel streets on campus across from the University Police Department. Look for blue and gold balloons.

Between 9 a.m. and noon, N.C. A&T employees, students, affiliates and the surrounding community can securely dispose of unwanted documents and electronics  such as old homework assignments, medical records, canceled checks, computers, thumb drives, CDs, TVs, printers, cords, batteries and appliances in an environmentally friendly way.

A&T employees can dispose of university documents, personal documents and personal electronics; however, disposal of A&T electronics is prohibited.

The event promotes Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Disposal of the items collected will be handled by Proshred and Powerhouse Recycling. Waste Management Institute’s Earth & Environmental Science Club students have volunteered to assist patrons.

The event may end early if the shred truck and electronic recycling truck reach capacity.
