Greensboro, N.C. (July 26, 2017) - The public is invited to attend a free Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
The Cooperative Extension Program at N.C. A&T is organizing the fair to encourage families to live an overall healthy lifestyle. The fair will be held at the university’s Alumni-Foundation Events Center, 200 N. Benbow Road.
Free health screenings will be available, as well as demonstrations that will include nutritional education and taste testing; other sessions will cover financial resources, mental health and physical education.
N.C. A&T’s Try Healthy program and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Recipe for Success program are sponsors. USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is providing financial support for the event.
