Master of Arts in Teaching History Education

The Department of History and Political Science offers a Masters of Arts in Teaching Degree with a concentration on Secondary History Education.

Curriculum guide

The General Deadlines for applications are:    

  • Fall - June 1     
  • Spring - Nov 1
  • Summer - April 1

 To be accepted into the MAT program, the student must have:

  • 24 credit hours of content-related course work with a grade of C or better
  • Verification of criminal background
  • Unconditional admission requires an undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or higher
