Summer 2020 Orientation Update

The in-person New Student Orientation sessions originally scheduled for this summer will now be held online. Students and families must register for an orientation session to gain access to the virtual platform.

Here are a few important items to help prepare you for Summer 2020 New Student Orientation, "The 1891 Experience"

  • The link to your virtual orientation platform will be released based on the orientation date you registered for. The orientation is comprised of interactive modules to introduce you to campus life, students, university resources, and academic support – including advisement and course registration information.
  • Always check your university email for the latest information. If you have questions or concerns, please contact New Student Programs via email at orient@ncat.edu.  We are always here to assist!
  • Follow New Student Programs on Instagram and Twitter @ncatnsp to meet your incoming class peers and engage with our student leaders!

The mandatory New Student Orientation (NSO) occurs before the Fall and Spring semesters to introduce new students to many aspects of the University including student life, academic policies and the student code.  The goal of each New Student Orientation session is to make our students feel right at home the moment they step on campus.

Our New Student Orientation program is led by a dedicated staff of professionals and extensively trained student leaders.  Each student leader is hand selected and knows a wealth of information about the University.
