The Center for Cyber Defense

The Center for Cyber Defense at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&T) was designed to educate and prepare students to serve the Unites States as professionals in the field of Cybersecurity. The primary goal towards meeting this objective is to develop its integrated education and interdisciplinary research program in Cybersecurity.

The Center for Cyber Defense at NCA&T is designated as the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE).

  • VIVID COMPETITION APPLICATION 

      SPRING 2024 

The Virtual Internship and Varied Innovative Demonstrations (VIVID) Coalition comprised of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Augusta University, University of Arizona, and Florida International University has competition opportunities available for college students to compete in teams of five. Multiple teams from the same College or University are allowed. Please register all team members at the same time on this form.  All 5 team members must be students from the same CAE school. Selected teams will be notified by 31 January, which is the deadline to register. 

The first phase of the competition is a virtual event taking place from 11-14 March 2024. The top 15 teams will compete in the live event to continue the competition at the CAE Annual Colloquium in October 2024. Travel stipends will be provided to offset travel costs for those teams competing in the live event.
