The Faculty Commons

Purpose

The Faculty Commons, located on the lower level of F.D. Bluford Library, is a dedicated space designed to support faculty success through collaboration, professional growth, and access to integrated academic resources. Serving as a central hub, the Commons brings together expertise in teaching, instructional technology, data, and academic support to advance the university’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, and service. 

The Faculty Commons fosters a sense of community by providing an environment where faculty can connect across disciplines, explore innovative ideas, and engage in meaningful professional development. Whether attending a workshop, collaborating with colleagues, or receiving one-on-one support, faculty are encouraged to use the Commons as a space to reflect, create, and grow.
