Bio

Dr. Wang is a professor of biological engineering and a licensed professional engineer (PE) in North Carolina and Nebraska. He has 20 years of experience in advancing bioprocessing and biofuel research, with current efforts focused on converting biomass, agricultural and food wastes into biofuels and bioproducts, and food-energy-water nexus analysis. He is one of three thrust leaders of the interdisciplinary NSF CREST Bioenergy Center to lead biomass gasification research. His research has generated 2 books, 52 book chapters and 87 peer-reviewed journal articles with over 3500 citations.
