Bio

Dr. Masasi is an Assistant Professor of Biological Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. He received his Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He also earned his M.S. in Water Science and Engineering - specialization in Land and Water Development from the IHE-Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe. He teaches courses in the area of soil and water conservation engineering. Dr. Masasi’s research focuses on developing and evaluating improved irrigation management strategies and decision-support tools to ensure sustainable and efficient water utilization in agricultural production. In his research projects, he uses a combination of field experiments and crop simulation models to study the impacts of management practices and climate change on agricultural production and water use.
