Since 2009, Dr. Aaron L. Bell has served in the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ). Dr. Bell currently serves as a Program Analysis in the Office of Communication, Partnership, and Analysis in the Office of Land and Emergency Management at EPA. Some of Dr. Bell’s notable efforts include the development and management of EPA’s National Environmental Justice Hotline Process and Protocol, the first-ever mandatory online training for environmental Justice, and working to incorporate EJ considerations the Agency's Action Development Process, in EPA’s National Drinking Water Action Plan, EPA’s Green Infrastructure Roadmap, and the S1961 Chemical Safety and Drinking Water Protection Act of 2014. Dr. Bell holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Master’s in Public Administration and Ph.D. in Political Science from Howard University.
