DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE 

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s primary charge is to create and sustain a forum for campus-level dialogue on issues directly related to diversity and inclusion at North Carolina A&T.

CAMPUS RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS

N.C. A&T provides resources to support its diversity and inclusion efforts. The Multicultural Student Center supports cultural, social and intellectual growth of the campus community about differences and global issues. International Affairs provides cohesion and direction for academic exchange programs and study abroad opportunities.

Academics

At North Carolina A&T, you can choose from over 200 undergraduate courses, many with an emphasis on diverse issues, including African American history, Hip Hop Discourse, One World Culture and more. Here is a list of the diverse academic courses available at the university: 

Clubs and Organizations

North Carolina A&T offers many ways to get involved, celebrate diversity and meet new people. Here you'll find a wide range of clubs and organizations and LGBTQIA resources that provide academic, cultural and personal support, as well as serve an advocacy role.

SACNAS:

The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers and positions of leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). 

ABRCMS:

The Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) is one of the largest communities of underrepresented minorities in STEM. Students attend this conference to present their research, enhance professional development skills, explore graduate schools and network. Research faculty and program directors play an essential role in mentoring students and learning strategies for facilitating student success. 

CAMPUS RESOURCES FOR FACULTY AND STAFF

ADVANCE Institutional Transformation (IT) Project:

N.C. A&T ADVANCE IT Project is designed to address the systemic under representation of women within its faculty. The project will holistically build a strategic pipeline to cultivate the academic and professional success of women, increase opportunities for all faculty thereby creating a whole campus culture of excellence, and increase the knowledge regarding the roles of gender and gender/race intersectionality within the academy.
