This page will guide you through the required steps to enroll and prepare for your first term as a graduate student. Please complete each step in order, as your ability to register for courses depends on it.

Enrollment Steps: Complete each step in order.

 Your OneID is your university login credential. It provides access to:
  • Aggie Access (student portal)
  • Blackboard
  • Campus Wi‑Fi and online services

Your Aggie Gmail (@aggies.ncat.edu) account is the official method of communication at N.C. A&T. You are expected to check this account regularly for:
  • Advisement and registration notifications
  • Tuition and financial aid updates
  • Academic and campus announcements 

Your OneID username and password are used to access your email.

 You must complete required documentation before you can register for courses:
  • Final and/or official transcripts
  • Test scores (if required by your program)
  • Student Health Center immunization requirements
  • AggieAlert! emergency notification preference
  • International students: Check in with the Office of International Affairs (OIA) upon arrival

Health requirements and forms are available through the Student Health Center

 All graduate students must meet with their Graduate Program Coordinator or Department Chair before registering for courses.

During advisement, you will:

  • Review your degree curriculum
  • Identify your first‑term courses
  • Receive your advising PIN

Your program contact information is included in your admission portal and enrollment communication.

 Once advised and cleared of all holds, register through Aggie Access Online. Aggie Access Online Link

  2. Select Student → Registration
  3. Enter your advising PIN
  4. Select your term and register for classes 

Registration times and holds are visible in Aggie Access.

Blackboard Learn is N.C. A&T’s official learning management system. All courses use Blackboard to post:
  • Syllabi
  • Assignments
  • Course materials
  • Instructor announcements

Preparing for Your Graduate Experience

N.C. A&T offers doctoral, master’s, and graduate certificate programs across multiple colleges, combining rigorous academics with real‑world application and research opportunities.

Your program may include:

  • Full‑time or part‑time enrollment options
  • Thesis, non‑thesis, or capstone requirements
  • Online or on‑campus course delivery

Program‑specific expectations are managed by your academic department.

The Graduate College offers New Graduate Student Orientation, which includes:

  • A self‑guided online module (required)
  • A live virtual orientation (required)
  • Optional in‑person sessions for on‑campus students

Orientation provides essential information to ensure a smooth transition to graduate study at A&T.

International students must comply with federal visa regulations and report to OIA upon arrival.

International Student Affairs

North Carolina A&T State University welcomes graduate students from around the world. International graduate students receive immigration advising, orientation, and ongoing support through the Office of International Affairs (OIA).

International students must complete additional requirements to maintain valid immigration status, including required check‑in and full‑time enrollment, as directed by OIA. All visa‑ and immigration‑related questions should be directed to the Office of International Affairs.
