There’s no place in higher education like North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

A leading doctoral research land-grant university, North Carolina A&T is also America’s largest and leading historically Black university, with a diverse enrollment of 15,275. We are one of America’s top 10 universities in graduating African American students in 24 disciplines, including holding no. 1 positions in Engineering, Agriculture and STEM.

One of North Carolina’s top public research universities, N.C. A&T is on track to be reclassified as an R1-Very High Research Activity institution by the Carnegie Classification for Institutions of Higher Education in 2028. A&T will likely become the first public HBCU to achieve that distinction.

HOMECOMING OVERVIEW

It’s a bold name, but The Greatest Homecoming on Earth has richly earned it over the past 100 years.

Each fall, tens of thousands of North Carolina A&T alumni come home to Greensboro to join our students, faculty, staff and droves of Aggie fans in a weeklong celebration recognized nationwide. Attendance totaled more than 132,000 in 2024; 170,000+ visits to downtown Greensboro were recorded during homecoming weekend in 2025. This year’s centennial edition promises to be even bigger and better.


From major concerts to the biggest step show in America to endless tailgating featuring some of the best Southern cooking around, there’s something for everyone in the more than 35 official events that make up this cherished fall treasure.

This is widely popular event that is attended by a variety of students and alumni that showcases organizations from the 13 fraternities and sororities housed on our campus. (12,000 attendees)

Sponsorship would cover expenses for an artist for an audience of 18-23 year old attendees who gather to support the fall sports teams and for fellowship and entertainment. (4,000+ attendees)

All active and in good standing fraternities and sororities have a cooking/tailgate space from 8am-7pm. They provide food for current members, alumni and campus guests. We have a stage, hosts and DJs in the space to engage the crowd. (15,000-30,000 attendees)

MISTER AND MISS A&T CORONATION AND RECEPTION

The Coronation for Mister and Miss A&T and the homecoming court. This is a formal affair attended by a host of students, faculty and community members. Sponsorship would cover expenses for food and decor (1,000 attendees)

This festival occurs on homecoming week and is an opportunity for students to experience carnival activities like games, rides, candy apples, food trucks, face painting and to be able to purchase items from local black vendors. Sponsorship would cover expenses for carnival providers and food (3,000 student attendees)

N.C. A&T AGGIE ALUMNI HOMECOMING CONCERT

Sponsorship provides comprehensive support for a signature alumni event featuring international recording artists for an audience of alumni and guests. This event is designed to celebrate alumni engagement, fellowship, and university pride while creating a memorable experience for graduates and supporters across multiple generations. (2,000 attendees)
