Bio

Dr. Lin is a professor at the Department of Physics and Department of Energy & Environmental Systems, NC A&T State University, and has been serving as a coordinator for the atmospheric science programs in both departments. Dr. Lin obtained his Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from Yale University in 1984. Since joining NCAT in 2008, he has served as the Distinguished Scientist for the NOAA ISET Center during 2008-12 and has been very active in both teaching and research. He has been advising a large number of graduate students. He has published a textbook, Mesoscale Dynamics (Cambridge U. Press), and a large number of journal papers.
