Bio
Dr. Forshaw joined NCA&T in 2022. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK, in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and his Ph.D. also from UWE in Biochemistry. He then completed his postdoctoral training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Forshaw is passionate about opening doors to elevate students and teaching about where biology and chemistry intersect. He teaches Biochemistry I, II, lab, and General Biochemistry for graduates. He has an established research lab investigating molecule medicine and protein biochemistry, and funding from the DOD. His research focuses on redox biochemistry, reactive oxygen species, cell signaling, protein oxidation, and omics technology, particularly in cancer and Alzheimer's Disease.
