Dr. Chakrabarty received his PhD in Management from Mays Business School, Texas A&M University.

He has a well-established record in research. As of August 2020, Dr. Chakrabarty has 21 journal publications, and his research has more than 1300 citations. Out of his 21 journal articles, 14 articles are in journals with an impact factor of greater than 2.0. Further, 13 articles are in journals that are rated as either A or A* on the ABDC (Australian Business Deans Council) journal rankings list. Furthermore, 7 articles are in journals that are on the 2006 Financial Times top 40 journal ranking list. In addition, he is the sole author on 6 journal articles, equal-author on 1 journal article, and the lead-author on 9 journal articles.

Dr. Chakrabarty gained organizational leadership and administration experiences in multiple ways — in entrepreneurship, in the aerospace industry, in the automobile industry, in the software industry, and in academia. Prior to his PhD, he worked in the industry with diverse organizational leadership and administration experiences.
