Lisa Gilgeours

Lisa Gilgeours - CEO and Founder of Gilgeours Construction Corporation.  A Licensed General Contractor with over 15 years of experiences in the construction Industry. I earned my A.A.S degree at Institute of Design and Construction, Brooklyn New York and earned my B.S. at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, Greensboro, North Carolina (2002).

I have worked with General Contractors on multi-million dollar projects as a project manager, project engineer and M/WBE Coordinator for Historically Underutilized Businesses, before I decided to start my own company. The HUB Coordinator is a role which remains very dear to my heart. I have a passion for educating and guiding small minority business owners and sub-contractors in the construction industry through the prequalification process from small to multi-million dollar projects.  I believe small minority business owners can be game changers. In order to change the game, they have to understand the game. The lack of knowledge is what hinders us from playing the game and winning. I will always make time in my busy schedule to sit with sub-contractors to assist them in understanding the construction bidding process, the estimating process and the construction contract documents.

I am currently working on the Greensboro Science Center Zoo Expansion and the Guilford County Behavioral Health Center project with Samet Corporation as the Minority Protégé.
