Committee Members
Computer Engineering Curriculum (CpE) Committee: The purpose of this committee is to regularly manage the assessment and evaluation of the computer engineering curriculum and courses, and propose modifications as needed. Additionally, the committee was asked to handle special curriculum-related request for students as needed (e.g., approving transfer credits in exceptional cases).
Electrical Engineering Curriculum (EE) Committee: The purpose of this committee is to regularly manage the assessment and evaluation of the electrical engineering curriculum and courses, and propose modifications as needed. Additionally, the committee was asked to handle special curriculum-related request for students as needed (e.g., approving transfer credits in exceptional cases).
Laboratory Operations and Safety Committee: The purpose of this committee is to regularly evaluate the need of the department's educational laboratories and propose resource updates as needed.
Scholarship Committee: The purpose of this committee is to assist in distributing scholarship funds to distribute funds donated to the department to deserving undergraduate students. In addition to identifying and selecting undergraduate students for scholarships, this committee also helps to cultivate relationships with donors.
Assessment Committee: The purpose of this committee is to manage the yearly ABET-related student outcomes assessment and program self-evaluation in preparation for the 6-year external ABET evaluation visits.
Senior Design Committee: The purpose of this committee is to attend to the specific needs of the 2 senior design courses (ECEN 478 and ECEN 479). This includes working with the College of Engineering to coordinate the College’s yearly Senior Design Expo/Competition.
Student Advising Committee: The purpose of this committee is to manage the advising processes for all ECE undergraduate students. This includes one-on- one advising for all sophomore students in the department, as well as matching upperclassmen with ECE faculty advisors. Duties also include assisting students and instructors with requests related to academic difficulty, providing needed overrides, and degree audits.
