The office oversees academic policies, faculty development, student success initiatives, and college-wide operations. It serves as a central point for communication, collaboration, and resources across departments.

Meet the Dean's Office

Dean
College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Dean Campbell serves as the college's chief academic and administrative officer, providing strategic leadership for its six academic departments and overseeing academic programs, faculty and staff, budgeting, resource allocation, and strategies that advance student success.

Associate Dean
Graduate Studies & Faculty Affairs

Dr. Ricks oversees graduate curricula, master's program recruitment and admissions, faculty development, and promotion and tenure across the college's six academic departments while ensuring compliance with North Carolina A&T Graduate College policies. She mentors faculty in extramural grant development, scholarly publishing and research integration, and collaborates with department chairs to advance research priorities and align academic initiatives with the university's strategic plan.

Interim Associate Dean

Dr. Cooper provides leadership for curriculum development, faculty instruction, student advising and program assessment across the college's six academic departments while advancing university-wide student success initiatives. She serves as a key liaison among the college's departments, promoting academic excellence, supporting faculty and strengthening student retention.

Public Communications Specialist

Ms. Rowe provides strategic leadership for the college's communications and marketing initiatives, elevating the visibility of its academic programs, research, faculty, students, alumni and institutional priorities. She oversees brand strategy and messaging, leads media relations, manages print, digital, web and social media content, develops executive communications, and advises college leadership on initiatives that strengthen engagement, enhance the college's reputation and advance its mission.

Business Administration Officer

Mrs. Townsend manages the college's financial, budgetary and operational activities, supporting the Dean's Office and the college's six academic departments in achieving their strategic priorities. She serves as the primary liaison for personnel actions, oversees resource management, ensures compliance with university policies and procedures, advises internal stakeholders, interprets university processes, and coordinates schedules, vendors and key partners to support the college's research, scholarly and community engagement initiatives.

Temp. Administrative Support Associate

Ms. Barlow serves as the primary point of contact for the Dean's Office, supporting the operations of the office and the college's six academic departments by coordinating day-to-day administrative functions and advancing strategic priorities that strengthen scholarly activity and community engagement.
