Steps to Apply

To complete the application, you will need to send us the following materials:

Complete the Undergraduate Admissions Application online via ONE of the platforms:

NOTE: You are permitted to submit ONE application per term.  We will process the first application submitted.

  1. Submit Official Transcripts. Transcripts should be sent officially to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, signed and sealed, via postal mail. We do not accept copies of transcripts from applicants.  Transcripts can also be sent via an electronic transcript service (i.e. Parchment, E-Script, Student Clearinghouse, SCOIR) to admissions@ncat.edu
    1. Please ensure that your high school transcript includes your senior year course schedule.  If it does not, please send a separate copy of your schedule to us that includes your full name.
    2. Freshmen Applicants: Please be sure to complete the activities section that includes extracurricular activities, community service and job experiences.
    3. Recommendation letters or personal essays are not required and will not be reviewed in the application process.
  2. Official test scores are OPTIONAL for 2023 applicants.
    1. Standardized Testing Scores (ACT, SAT) must be officially reported to N.C. A&T by the testing agency (SAT Code: 5003, ACT Code: 3060).
  3. Submit Application Fee. A non-refundable application fee payment of $60 is required to complete your admissions application. It can be paid via check, money order or credit card drawn on either a U.S. bank or on a U.S. dollar account. Checks or money orders should be made payable to N.C. A&T State University. The University will also accept the following official fee waiver forms as a payment method: College Board, ACT or NACAC. Copies of waiver forms will not be processed. Fee waivers should be sent via postal mail or an electronic transcript service.  All checks and money orders should be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions via postal mail. The mailing address is noted above.
    1. Active Service Members: As a courtesy, we will waive the admissions application fee.  You will need to send a copy of your military orders to admissions@ncat.edu to receive the waiver.
    2. Veteran Service Members: As a courtesy, we will waive the admissions application fee.  You will need to send a copy of your DD-214 to admissions@ncat.edu to receive the waiver.

Applying as a Transfer Student

If you have already graduated from high school and earned course credit at another college or university, then follow our instructions for applying as a transfer student.

Applying as an International Student

International students must fully satisfy the requirements for admission prior to enrollment at North Carolina A&T State University and provide documented proof of ability to meet financial responsibility associated with enrollment and living expenses. To provide proof of U.S. citzenship, you will need to provide a copy of your U.S. passport or Certificate of Born Abroad.  If you are not a U.S. citizen, please see our instructions for applying as an international student.
