Financial Literacy

The following resources will help you understand your finances and develop your financial literacy. All students are encouraged to complete at least two modules of the “Money Management” program. Students should also view their loan indebtedness on NSLDS and use the Repayment Estimator to calculate the repayment amount as borrowing is continued. Students with questions should contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.

  • Money Management - Provides information on how to manage your finances; better understand your student loans, and preparing for your dream career.
  • NSLDS - How much have I borrowed? - Review your federal loans, grants and aid overpayments and find your loan provider.
  • Repayment Estimator - Calculate your federal student loans payments based on the various repayment options.
  • Identity Theft - How can I prevent it? - Provides tips on how to prevent being a victim of Identity Theft and gives information on what needs to be done if you become a victim of 'Identity Theft'.
  • Get Financial Aid for School - Information on how to prepare for College, types of student aid programs as well as completing the FAFSA.
  • Financial Literacy Information - CFNC provides financial basis information, financial literacy facts, a savings and budget calculator as well as interactive financial literacy materials, videos and games to help better manage money and make responsible choices regarding finances.
  • Annual Credit Report - Check your credit history - Obtain a free credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting agency.
  • Glossary of Terms - Various terms used for financial aid literacy.
