Research Interests

My research interest focuses on developing education models for student success, retention, persistence and graduation in the biological sciences. Thus, I advance my scholarship as a participant in the Genome Education Partnership, as a PULSE Leadership Fellow, active as an Ambassador for Departmental reform regionally, and in working with with the Southeast Region PULSE fellows to organize, design and test the impact of PULSE regional institutes on fostering departmental reform to improve undergraduate biological education nationally. As a transformation leader at home, I collaborate with the faculty to test new and innovative models for undergraduate research, advising for student success.
