Dr. Tyra Turner Whittaker, LPC, CRC is currently a Professor of Counseling and the PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program Coordinator at North Carolina A&T State University where she has received over 5 million in grant funds to meet the needs of racial and ethnic minorities with disabilities and addictive behaviors. Dr. Whittaker received her doctorate in Rehabilitation from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, her M.A. from Xavier University of Louisiana in Guidance and Counseling, and her B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University.
