I have over thirty years of uninterrupted experience with Communication and Science disorders. My BA, MA, and Ph.D. are in the area of Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech Language Pathology. I have worked in a variety of settings including skilled nursing, Veteran's Administration, School systems, home health agencies, private practice, and in the university setting.

Research Interests

Areas of research interest include but are not limited to Language and literacy impairment/achievement and African American English with a focus on complex syntax and lexical diversity. I am also interested in neurogenic communication disorders in addition to communication associated with learning disabilities.
