Bio

Andy Ham received Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Arizona State University in 2009, and M.S. in OR/IE from University of Texas at Austin in 2000. He is currently working as an associate professor in Applied Engineering Technology, North Carolina A&T State University, while he serves as a technical advisor for semiconductor manufacturers and CSPI. Prior to the current position, he worked for BerkshireGrey AI/Robotics, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Global Foundries, AMD, and IBM/ILOG. His research is currently focusing on real-time scheduling of vehicles, drones and robots in smart factories, smart warehouses, and logistics industry.

Research Interests

Real-time scheduling of vehicles, drones and robots in smart factories, smart warehouses, and logistics industry; Persistent surveillance mission scheduling using UAVs that are supported by a flying charging station; Simultaneous Scheduling of Resources and Autonomous Mobile Robots that Serve as Both Transporter and Auxiliary Resources; Routing and scheduling of CAVs at multiple intersections for network-level optimization
