Welcome New Students for Fall 2023 Veteran & Military Affairs
On behalf of Veteran & Military Affairs, congratulations on your acceptance to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University; we are excited you have chosen to attend N.C. A&T! Veteran & Military Affairs is here to meet the needs of our students who are veterans, service members, and military-affiliated dependents; more specifically those students who are using educational benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
For those students that will be starting in the Fall 2023 semester, in the upcoming weeks, you/your student will receive information from New Student Programs and will be invited to attend the university's orientation. Our office, Veteran & Military Affairs will also be hosting orientations virtually throughout the summer. These sessions will go over in great detail what you need to utilize your benefits here at NC A&T and what will happen going forward. Please come back to our website in May to register for one of our sessions.
Until then, there are a few things you can do.
APPLY FOR BENEFITS
If you have not yet applied for your educational benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, please do so as soon as possible. If needed, you'll find more detailed information regarding benefits on the site.
If you have already applied and have received your Certificate of Eligibility from VA, please hold onto it; we will need a copy for your student’s file when the time comes. If you have not received the Certificate of Eligibility, do not be alarmed, VA can take up to 4-6 weeks to mail them out.
If you have any immediate questions, please contact the office at 336-398-8651.Otherwise look forward to “meeting” you in the near future. Thank you and again, congratulations! In essence of Aggie Pride, welcome to Aggie Land!
