About Us

The North Carolina A&T Office of Veterans and Military Affairs (OVMA) is dedicated to providing services and support to our students with excellence during their educational journey.

OVMA proudly welcomes all Active Duty Military, Veterans, Military Spouses, and Family members. We want to thank you for your service and for the sacrifices you and your family have made for our country. It’s our pleasure to support your success. From processing your educational benefits to connecting you to the degree program of your dreams, we are here to ease the transition from military service to campus life (Boots-To-Books).

OVMA assists our Veterans by raising awareness of veterans’ issues among the campus and local communities, and supporting student veterans through graduation and into rewarding careers.

  • Provide a sense of community through veteran-center events and activities.
  • Heighten awareness of veteran issues among the campus community.
  • Advocate on issues that are relevant to student veterans on state and federal issues.
  • Maintain a rich veteran heritage on the university campus.
  • Provide a One-Stop Location where student Veterans/Dependents can lounge to enjoy beverages/snacks, study, conduct research, and meet with other student Veterans/Dependents.
