Shuttle Services

On-Campus Aggie Transit

North Carolina A&T State University provides a complimentary shuttle system known as The Aggie Shuttle. This service stops at academic and administrative buildings, on-campus student housing, and off-campus apartment complexes including Aggie Pointe, Aggie Terrace, Campus Edge, Colligate Commons, Preeminent Pointe, Sebastian, University Landing, and University Park. The shuttles also stop at apartment complexes in Greensboro, such as Campus Crossing, The Edge, and The Province. All shuttles come equipped with web-based GPS, which allows riders to track the location of any Aggie shuttle bus in real time. This feature is accessible online or through a mobile phone at any time. 

If you want to track the location of any shuttle that travels around campus, you can use the Passio GO! app. This app also provides information on stops and estimated arrival times.

Shuttle Routes

Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 11:00pm

Aggie Shuttle is known as the shuttle that runs within the campus. It provides transportation for on-campus residents to academic and administrative buildings.

Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 6:30pm

The Park and Ride shuttle is a convenient way to travel between Aggie Pointe, Preeminent Pointe, University Park, and the Park-and-Ride lots located at Truist Stadium and War Memorial. Please note that the Park and Ride service stops operating at 6:30pm.

Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 11:00pm

The Campus North Loop shuttle provides transportation services from off-campus locations such as Campus Crossing, The Edge, and The Province in Greensboro to the university campus.

Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 11:00pm

The Campus South Loop shuttle provides transportation between off-campus areas such as Aggie Terrace, Campus East, Colligate Commons, Sebastian area, and University Landing, and the campus. This service runs every hour at the beginning and end of each hour.

Monday - Friday | 11:00pm - 2:00am

Ride Request is a service that operates from 11 pm to 2 am, providing on-demand rides to users who request them from a specific stop on campus. The service offers direct access to the user's desired destination.

Saturday - Sunday | 9:00am - 7:00pm

Aggie Weekend shuttles is a service available from 9 am to 7 pm on weekends. Its primary purpose is to grant access to Williams Dining Hall for residents of Campus Crossing, The Edge, The Province, and Campus East apartments.

Off-Campus Public Transportation

There are 19 Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) routes available in the City of Greensboro for daily transportation. These routes operate from 5:15am to 11:30pm every Monday to Friday. On weekends, there are 17 routes available from 6:00am to 10:00pm. All bus routes connect and transfer at The Depot downtown. If you want to know more about riding a GTA bus, you can visit www.ridegta.com. If you are a student of N.C. A&T, you can ride the fixed route service for free by receiving and activating a code and downloading the UMO app. Otherwise, the cost of the service is $1.50 cash fare. Get the UMO Mobility Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play Store

GTA has installed bicycle racks on the front of their buses. These racks can hold up to two bicycles at a time. Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their own bikes onto and off of the racks.

GTA Information and Routes to Shopping

The J. Douglas Galyon Depot acts as the primary transportation center for GTA passengers and serves as a hub for Amtrak, PART, and Greyhound. It is situated at 236 East Washington St. in Greensboro, NC 27401 

Hours of GTA Bus Operation

Monday – Friday                           5:15 am - 11:30 pm

Saturday and Sunday                    6:00 am – 10:00 pm 

The customer service office for GTA is located at the Depot and is open whenever buses are operating. You can either visit them during your travels or call 336-335-6499 for assistance.

GTA applies a base fare of $1.50 per trip and provides complimentary transfers to local shopping destinations (specified per route).

Other Transportation Options

PART offers a variety of commuter services including direct bus route and service from the Coble Transportation Center to The Depot in Greensboro, (www.partnc.org/166/Route-2) 

PART provides a half-price discount on standard fares to students. In order to get the half fare on PART passes, you must complete the application and submit proof by attaching a copy of photo identification card. The photo identification card must include an enrollment date/year.

Once enrolled, PART will update your Umo account, so you can purchase your PART passes or stored value at the discounted fare. You must register in advance of making your purchase. PART will not refund fares purchased prior to enrollment.

You must have an active Umo account before PART can activate your discount fare in Umo.

Umo Mobile

Riding PART using the Umo Mobile App is easy! Smartphone users can purchase their PART Express pass with a few taps on their smartphone anytime, anywhere. Once you’ve purchased a PART pass, simply show the QR code in your Umo Wallet to the Umo Reader when you board the bus and you’re on your way.

From The Depot downtown, you can connect to Greyhound bus services (www.greyhound.com) for buses travelling all over the country, including the beach.  Schedules and fares vary so please check their website for the most current information.

From The Depot downtown, you can board any Amtrak (www.amtrak.com) train with northbound service to Washington, D.C. and New York City; southbound to Atlanta and New Orleans; plus connections to other destinations and stations throughout the country.

A variety of airlines service PTI (www.flyfrompti.com)  airport with frequent direct and connecting flights across the country.  Airlines servicing PTI: Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines.

Both Lyft and Uber offer rides on demand.  You can request a ride at any time 24/7, 365 days a year. Both offer budget-friendly options and are an easy way to get around.  Down load their app and let the driver take you where you want to go, worry-free.
