Times were backbreakingly hard for Black North Carolinians in the 1890s – crushing discrimination and precious few opportunities. But in 1891, a seed was planted that would turn those blues into gold for tens of thousands of students: North Carolina A&T State University, America’s leading HBCU. Experience the rich, colorful history of A&T through the stories of top alumni and others who have felt the massive impact of a university that enrolls more Black students than any other U.S. campus.

Directed by Brandon Deese and Ashley Shanté. Starring David Banner, Rev. Al Sharpton, Sandra Hughes, Chris Paul and many more. Runtime: 112m. 2025. NR.
