Scholarship Dates and Deadlines

Being aware of important dates can make the difference between getting a scholarship award or missing the opportunity. Review the information below for key deadlines and dates regarding scholarship applications for incoming freshmen.

APPLY FOR ADMISSIONS: Students should apply by the Office of Undergraduate Admission early action deadline of November 1st. Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission for all admissions-related questions.

October

Freshman Scholarships Available: The scholarship applications for incoming freshman administered through the Office of Student Financial Aid will become available in mid to late October. Specific details regarding criteria and requirements can be found on the Incoming Freshman Scholarship page.

Apply for FAFSA:  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available beginning October 1st of each year. Filing the application by March 1st is strongly encouraged to be considered for the maximum value of need based awards. North Carolina A&T State University FAFSA School Code is 002905.

December

Freshman Scholarship Deadline: All completed applications for National Alumni Scholarship must be received on or before December 15th.

February

Endowed Scholarships Available: Incoming freshman and currently enrolled students may apply for Endowed Scholarships beginning in February 1st.

Freshman Scholarships Awarded: Scholarship applicants for the Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy and National Alumni Scholarship are notified by letter and/or email in mid to late February.

March

Endowed Scholarships Awarded: Scholarship applicants are notified by letter and/or email between March and June prior to the upcoming academic year.

Endowed Scholarship Deadline: Priority deadline to apply for Endowed Scholarships is March 15th.
