International Graduate Applicants

All international applicants must submit the following:

• Completed online application
• Application fee ($60, non-refundable)
• Unofficial transcripts/mark sheets from all institutions attended
• Personal statement (as required by program)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Graduate test scores (GRE/GMAT), if required by the program
• English language proficiency documentation (if applicable)

Additional program-specific requirements (e.g., interviews) may apply. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Applicants with academic records from institutions outside of the United States must:

• Provide an official English translation of transcripts/mark sheets
• Submit a course-by-course credential evaluation from one of the following agencies:
• The Evaluation Company (SpanTran), WES, or ECE

The credential evaluation must be sent directly from the evaluation agency to The Graduate College.

International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:

• TOEFL (minimum score: 80 internet-based)
• IELTS (minimum score: 6.0)
• PTE Academic (minimum score: 75)
• Duolingo English Test (minimum score: 115)

Scores must be sent directly from the testing agency and must be within two years of the test date.

Alternative Pathway:

• Completion of Level 5 at Interlink Language Center or American Language Academy
• Completion of a program from a CEA-accredited language academy

Exemptions may apply if the applicant:

• Has earned a degree from an institution in a country where English is the official language of instruction
• Has completed a degree at a U.S. institution
• Is a native English speaker
• Has resided legally in the U.S. for five or more years

General Deadlines:

• November 1 (all admissions)
• September 15 (spring admission)

Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply well in advance to allow time for visa processing, I-20 issuance, and travel planning.

If admitted, international applicants must submit the following before enrollment:

• Official transcripts sent directly from issuing institutions
• Official test scores (if required)
• Official English proficiency scores (if applicable)
• Verification of financial support for the duration of study
• Current visa status documentation

Failure to submit required official documentation prior to enrollment may result in rescission of admission.

International applicants must work with the Office of International Affairs to obtain immigration documents.
