All Installation events will take place on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University, including the Farm Pavilion. Below is information to help you navigate campus and locate appropriate parking during installation activities:

The Academic Quad
The Academic Quad is located behind the Student Center, facing Truist Stadium. This central and well-traveled area of campus is home to several of the university’s key academic buildings, including Marteena Hall, Barnes Hall, Merrick Hall, Craig Hall, and Crosby Hall. It serves as a hub of academic activity and student engagement at North Carolina A&T State University.
Parking
General parking will be available for guests attending the Chancellor’s Installation in the following university lots:
- Lot A3 – Truist Stadium (Google Maps)
- Lot 65 – War Memorial Stadium (Google Maps)
Complimentary shuttle service will run from both lots to Corbett Sports Center beginning at 9 a.m., and will return guests to their vehicles following the installation ceremony and community reception.
A limited number of accessible (parking for people with disabilities) parking spaces will be available at Corbett Sports Center on a first-come, first-served basis.

The installation of a university chancellor is a celebration not only of the institution, but of the entire academic community. At North Carolina A&T State University, we look forward to marking this historic moment as a milestone in a legacy rich with innovation, impact and excellence.
As we prepare to formally install Dr. James R. Martin II as the 13th Chancellor of N.C. A&T, we are honored to welcome both university faculty and visiting delegates who will represent their colleges, universities or academic organizations during this special occasion.

Complimentary parking will be offered to all registered faculty and delegates at Lot 39 located on Luther Street. The entrance is located behind the Alvin V. Blount Jr. Student Health Center. Handicap parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Corbett Sports Center.

Academic Dress
All university faculty and delegates participating in the academic procession are responsible for bringing their own academic dress. The university is not responsible for academic regalia that is shipped to the campus.
For your convenience, we have partnered with Jostens, our exclusive provider, to offer rental regalia for faculty and delegates. Individuals who wish to rent and pick up their regalia from the University Bookstore may place their order by August 2nd via the following link: Rental Regalia
Robing, Lineup, and Formation of the Academic Procession
Faculty and delegate robing and lineup will take place at the Aggie Dome (located behind Moore Gymnasium). The robing area will open at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers and ample signage will be available to assist you from the parking area to the Aggie Dome.
Delegates: Professional staff will guide you to your designated lineup area. Delegates will line up in order of their institution’s founding date. For your convenience, a chair will be labeled with your name, institution, and founding year.
Faculty: Please line up behind your respective college sign. Each group will be led by a college marshal and dean.
A light continental breakfast will be available for your convenience.
We kindly ask that all faculty and delegates be fully robed and in position by 9:30 a.m. The academic procession will begin at 9:45 a.m. to ensure the installation ceremony starts promptly at 10 a.m.
All attendees are required to abide by the clear bag regulation and are subject to bag size and type limits. The university reserves the right to impose the regulation at its discretion.
Attendees should comply with the following bag requirements and/or options:
- Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC Bags must not exceed 12″x 12″x 6″
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) is permitted
- Small clutch bags, 4.5″x 6.5″ or smaller are permitted
- Diaper bags are subject to search and must be accompanied by a child (up to 36 months)
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Purses larger than a clutch bag
- Coolers
- Briefcases
- Backpacks/cinch bags/fanny packs
- Luggage
- Computer bags/camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size
- Air horns, bull horns, cow bells, tambourines and/or any other disruptive noise makers
Exceptions may be granted for medically-necessary items, event personnel and credentialed media. Entry may be denied for individuals who fail to comply or allow inspections. The university reserves the right to deny entry of any item deemed inappropriate.

Following the installation ceremony, faculty and delegates are invited to join all guests at a community reception in celebration of our 13th Chancellor, Dr. James R. Martin II.
The reception will be held at the Alumni-Foundation Event Center, 200 N. Benbow Road, directly across the street from Corbett Sports Center.

Please join us for the official ceremony marking the installation of Chancellor James R. Martin II as the 13th chief executive of North Carolina A&T State University. The installation is a ceremonial occasion where the chancellor is formally endowed with the powers and responsibilities of office. While these duties are officially vested at the time of appointment by the University of North Carolina System Board of Governors, the ceremony serves as a symbolic and celebratory milestone in the life of the university.
This formal event will include remarks from the chair of the Board of Trustees, leadership representatives of the UNC System, state and municipal officials, members of the academic and professional staff and North Carolina A&T faculty and students. Musical tributes will also honor the university’s rich tradition and culture. The ceremony will embrace the theme “Now, Next, and Beyond: Driving Exponential Innovation and Global Impact,” reflecting the university’s bold vision for the future as a leading land-grant institution committed to excellence in education, research and service on a global scale.
