National Awards

The National Scholarships and Fellowships Coordinator helps North Carolina A&T's undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni learn of and apply for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships, regardless of University Honors Program membership or current scholarship status.

These extraordinary awards are external to N.C. A&T and span a wide range of opportunities. Many of the awards are connected to undergraduate as well as graduate degree programs and internships, overseas experiences, language programs, and independent projects and research.

Several nationally competitive and prestigious awards have a two-part application process. Before students and alumni can apply in the national competition, they must first apply in the campus competition to gain nomination or endorsement. Applicants should therefore put their best foot forward for the campus competition.

Campus application deadlines for this endorsement may be anywhere from four weeks to four or more months before the national deadline. Applicants should also allot at least four weeks before the national deadlines for non-endorsed awards.
