Giving Societies
Annual Giving Circles & Contributors
Alumni and friends will be recognized at the following levels, within the fiscal year that their contributions are made. Recognition within this group calculates cash gifts, cash soft credits and matching gifts.
Chancellor’s Circle, $2,500+
Donors in the Chancellor’s Circle will be highlighted within these categories:
- $250,000+
- $100,000 - $249,999
- $25,000 - $99,999
- $10,000 - $24,999
- $5,000 - $9,999
- $2,500 - $4,999
- Blue & Gold Circle, $1,000 - $2,499
- Gold Contributor, $500 - $999
- Blue Contributor, $100 - $499
- Contributor, $99 or less
Consecutive Annual Giving
Alumni and friends who make gifts for 3+ consecutive years from the current fiscal year, will earn recognition as Aggie Loyal. Recognition within this group calculates consecutive cash gifts, cash soft credits, and matching gifts.
Lifetime Giving Societies
Alumni and friends who make cumulative gifts beginning at the $25,000 level will earn recognition within lifetime giving societies. Recognition within the lifetime societies calculates the cumulative amount of all outright gifts and commitments, cash soft credits and matching gifts. Contributions between couples in one household will be combined, for recognition purposes only, at the total giving amount, unless otherwise requested. Planned gifts are excluded from this recognition.
James B. Dudley Society
$1,000,000 or greater
The James B. Dudley Society is named in honor of the second president of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University whose achievements are historically recognized as the catalyst in moving the university forward.
Society of 1891
$500,000 - $999,999
The Society of 1891 commemorates the year the North Carolina General Assembly ratified the Second Morrill Act that established the Agricultural and Mechanical College for the Colored Race, now known as North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Morrill Society
$250,000 - $499,999
The Morrill Society is named in honor of the historic Second Morrill Act that was enacted by Congress in 1890 and that mandated “a separate college for the colored race.”
Mens et Manus Society
$100,000 - $249,999
The Mens et Manus Society is named after the Latin motto inscribed in the university’s seal meaning Mind and Hand, referring to the traits that are necessary in the preparation for life and the importance of scholarly enlightenment.
Land-Grant Society
$50,000 - $99,999
The Land-Grant Society is named in recognition of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s status as a preeminent land-grant institution with a strong and lasting legacy of educational impact.
Aggie Society
$25,000 - $49,999
The Aggie Society is named in honor of the students, faculty and staff that continually uphold the standards of excellence and achievement that embody North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Planned Giving Society
Alumni and friends who contribute to the university with a planned gift will receive recognition in the Charles H. Moore Legacy Society.
Recognition within this society is reserved for those who support the university with appreciated assets. Individuals who list North Carolina A&T State University as a beneficiary on their life insurance, retirement accounts or banking accounts are also included in this society.
