The Division of Student Affairs, Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement launched the Aggie Rack in spring 2021 as a way to provide students access to FREE professional attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews, networking events, and the workplace. Inventory will include suits, blazers, skirts, button-down shirts, and more. Our goal is to help students look their best throughout their job search so they can make a positive impression as they enter the professional world!  

How to Schedule an Appointment?

This service is available to currently enrolled North Carolina A&T State University students. Students wishing to visit the Aggie Rack should schedule an appointment online via 1891Connect during normal hours of operationsThe Aggie Rack services are available by appointment only.  

Students may obtain up to four (4) individual apparel items (a suit equals 2 items) per academic year. Please note that the Aggie Rack cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes and types of items.

  • Dress pants, dark colors, or tan/khaki dress shirts (all sizes)
  • Ties, Belts
  • Women's blazers
  • Women's skirts and pants, dark colors (all sizes)

How to Give?

You can also support the Aggie Rack by donating new or gently used professional clothing items.  Below are a few suggestions to consider:

We welcome new or gently used professional clothing items. We require all clothes to be professionally dry cleaned. See the suggested clothing list below:
  • Sportcoats and suits
  • Dress shirts
  • Dress pants, dark colors, or tan/khaki dress shirts (all sizes)
  • Ties, Belts
  • Women's blazers
  • Women's skirts and pants, dark colors (all sizes)
  • Women's blouses

  • Clothes must have been purchased within the last five years and follow current fashion trends.
  • We accept new or gently used business professional clothing for both men and women.
  • Clothing must be laundered or dry-cleaned prior to donation.
  • Shoes, undergarments, worn, or stained clothing will not be accepted.
  • Cash donations will be used to purchase clothing in underrepresented sizes.

Donated items may be dropped off at the Aggie Source-Aggie Rack during operational hours. To ensure someone will be able to assist you, please schedule an appointment for your drop off by emailing aggiesource@ncat.edu or phone at 336-285-4453.



Become a Volunteer



  1. Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack potential volunteers must view the instructional video before applying to volunteer. The instructional video can be accessed by logging onto 1891Connect and join the Aggie Source portal.
  2. Potential volunteers should complete the Volunteer Application in its entirety. Once the application is approved by administrators, the potential volunteer will be contacted based on their availability indicated in the application.
  3. Volunteers are required to attend the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack Orientation/Training Session before volunteering with the pantry. Individuals and Groups should arrive 30-minutes before their scheduled shift for training. An orientation/training session will be offered on the second Monday of each month.

  1. Volunteers are expected to fulfill their obligations to the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack. The Volunteer Application, located on the Aggie Source 1891Connect portal, requires potential volunteers to indicate their preferred work setting and hours of availability. Potential volunteers will be contacted by Aggie Source Coordinator as needed prior to the date of service to confirm attendance.
  2. Volunteers are expected to complete a variety of tasks while volunteering at the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack. Some of the tasks are as follows: greeting guests upon arrival, guest check-in, guest shopping, weighing donated goods, sorting/labeling/stocking donated goods, pantry clean-up, participating in food drives and special events, and providing office support.
  3. Volunteers must notify the Aggie Source Coordinator if they are no longer able to attend, at least 24 hours prior to their date of service. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of all Aggie Source volunteer privileges for the semester. Volunteers will be given one warning before consequences ensue. Special consideration will be given in case of an emergency.
