Federal Work Study: FAQs

Work-Study is part-time employment for students to work and earn money while they are getting an education.

The rate of hourly pay is $9 for on-campus Work-Study assignments and $11 per hour for Community Service.

You must have a completed FAFSA on file by the priority date which is March 1st of each year. Students are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Eligibility is based on unmet need determined by the information provided on the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov).

Students are paid bi-weekly.

Students are required to attend a Work-Study workshop to pick-up their assignment. At that time, students are given an Authorization and Referral Form which authorizes the student to work.
