John White

John White, a Greensboro native, is Chief Lobbyist, Strategist, and North Carolina External Affairs Manager for Enbridge Gas North Carolina, where he leads the company's public policy, government affairs, regulatory engagement, and strategic community relations across the state. With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience spanning the energy, economic development, and public affairs sectors, he is recognized for building bipartisan partnerships, navigating complex regulatory environments, and advancing policies that create long-term business and community value.

Prior to joining Enbridge Gas, White served as Chief North Carolina Lobbyist and Manager of State and Local Affairs for Dominion Energy. His previous leadership roles include Associate Regional Director for the Southeast Region of the American Petroleum Institute, Legislative Director for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, and Vice President of Public Policy for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. Throughout his career, he has led policy and advocacy efforts supporting economic development, infrastructure investment, and transportation initiatives, helping secure more than $1.2 billion in public investment for North Carolina communities.

White is a gubernatorial appointee to the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission and serves on the boards of the Carolinas Natural Gas Coalition, the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, and the North Carolina Free Enterprise Foundation. He has also provided longstanding leadership to the North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus Foundation, helping raise more than $3 million in scholarship support for students attending North Carolina's Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

White earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honors, from North Carolina Central University. He brings extensive experience in corporate strategy, public policy, government relations, regulatory affairs, stakeholder engagement, and organizational leadership.

A proud father and husband, he is life-long member of Providence Baptist Church and the proud son of NC A&T alumni Eresterine Guidry ’74 and the late John D. White ’70.
