  1. Smart and connected health: This thrust aims to improve healthcare delivery and the efficiency of the provision in cities by using technology to develop accurate wearable devices, expanding telemedicine, using data analytics to identify health trends and improve public health, and developing new intelligent medical devices and technologies for urban and where possible rural environments. The overall goal is to create a more efficient, cost-effective, and patient-centered healthcare system that can reduce health disparities.

Secure Smart Hospital Lab

The Secure Smart Hospital Lab is a newly established facility equipped with smart hospital beds, facial expression recognition equipment, various sensors, including sensor mats under the beds, cameras, monitoring tools connected to the sensors, workstations, a computer network, and three state-of-the-art GPUs. Additionally, this lab is at the forefront of utilizing the metaverse for education, training, and patient communication. With specialized equipment, we are pioneering the integration of virtual environments into healthcare, enhancing both learning experiences and patient care.
