The Department of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) in partnership with the Center of Excellence for Social Justice (CESJ) invites you to a presentation by Joanna Arteaga Ferrin- art historian, curator and researcher.

Her talk, "Reclaiming the Latine/x Narrative Through Art, Memory, and Resistance," will explore the intersection of social justice, diasporic lived realities, and the interlacing of Latin American and Latine/x art histories. Challenging the myth of academic objectivity, the framework positions memory as an active instrument of resistance against the socio-political erasure and flattening of Latine/x identities.
