Chileatha Wynn, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C Biographical Sketch 

Chileatha WynnChileatha Wynn, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C is a committed, clinical educator and proven leader with over 2 decades of experience in healthcare. She began her education in Ohio at Cuyahoga Community College’s Physician Assistant program and ultimately completed her Masters and Doctoral studies at AT Still University with concentrations in Medical Professionals Education and Leadership, respectively. 

Her work has included inpatient medical and surgical care in large teaching hospitals including The Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and WakeMed Hospital, as well as outpatient practice ownership and most recently UNC Chapel Hill Campus Health and Virtual Practice in Family Medicine. Throughout her time as a clinician, she has been involved in clinical teaching as well as orientation and management of a multi-disciplinary team. Her work with Campbell University students resulted in being awarded the Preceptor of the Year for WakeMed Campus in 2019 and set in motion her transition to a full-time role in academia. 

Since her start in academia, she has been a Director of Clinical Medicine as well as Director of Clinical Education, which is the role that she was recently appointed to at North Carolina A&T State University after serving in a similar capacity at the UNC-Chapel Hill PA program. Dr. Wynn has been an invited speaker for numerous PA programs, CE offerings, and regional and national organizations including NCPHP, NCAPA, Gardner-Webb University, Wingate University, High Point University, PCOM, and Campbell University. Her research, grant awards, and areas of interest include mentorship, URiM advising, SIM VR use in medical education, telehealth, and PA advocacy.
