Session 1: Keynote Public Address--"Unlimited Horizons: Reflections on an Unimagined Journey from 'Gangsta Nerd' to Astrophysicist"

Description: Despite the challenges of his external environment, Dr. Oluseyi became a successful astrophysicist, science educator, and advocate. Dr. Oluseyi will discuss his incredible personal journey and share insights on the future of scientific exploration.

Session 2: Graduate Student Breakout Session--"On Becoming a Scientific Professional Scholar"

Description: This interactive session (designed for graduate students) will focus on the skills needed to advance as a professional scientist. Dr. Oluseyi will model scientific professionalism and provide some down-in-the trenches advice on how to achieve high levels of professional status as a scientist.
