Graduate Assistant Training Overview

Description

All students receiving a graduate assistantship must complete the mandatory Online Training for Graduate Assistants (OTGA). The online training consists of two components: (1) Core Training on Policies, Expectations, and Legal/Ethical Issues for all graduate assistants; and (2) Specialized Modules for GTAs/GA-Academics and GRAs. Graduate Administrative Assistants (GAAs) should consult with their supervisor and complete supplemental training appropriate to their job responsibilities, as required.

You must complete both components of the Online Training for Graduate Assistants (OTGA) within two weeks of starting your position as a graduate assistant. Failure to complete all components of the training may render you ineligible to serve as a graduate assistant and may result in the termination of your position.
