Jada Brown, Miss N.C. A&T State University

For the 2018-2019 academic school year, Miss Jada Alaina Brown reigns as Miss North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  Jada hails from the beautiful Columbia, South Carolina where the golden sunshine falls. She is the daughter of Mr. Jeffrey Allen Brown and Mrs. Jackie Elaine Wilson Brown.  Jada is a twin to her sister Jenai Alanna Brown and she has an older sister Jewel Ariel Brown.  As a Senior, Jada is matriculating towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Since enrolling at North Carolina A&T, Jada has been a dedicated student.  She has been on the Dean’s List every semester since her Freshmen year.  Jada is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Psi Chi Honor Society, and the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society.  She is also actively involved in several organizations on campus.  She has served as the 2017-2018 Junior Class Secretary, the Psychology Research Club, the South Carolina Aggies Organization, the Ladies of Excellence, and for a term, she served as a praise dancer with the University’s Gospel Choir.  During the 2017-18 academic year, Jada also served as Miss 100 Collegiate Women.  Through all of these organizations, Jada has been dedicated to helping others through volunteerism and community service.

As the 2018-2019 Miss North Carolina A&T, Jada’s platform is “Purpose, Persistence, Prosperity:  Walking In Your Purpose, Maintaining Persistence, and Achieving Prosperity”.  She has the desire to help the University to continue to evolve and thrive by strengthening the “Aggie” community both on and off campus. Jada believes that everyone has a purpose and that her God-given purpose is to help others.  Therefore, her platform focuses on creating academic mentorship and social networking programs for the youth in our communities and her fellow Aggie brothers and sisters on campus.   Jada’s goal is to lead by walking in her Purpose to help others find theirs, inspire by maintaining Persistence in reaching goals, and serve thereby achieving Prosperity.

Each day, Jada steps out on her faith with one of her favorite scriptures always at the forefront in her mind which says: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)
