January: MLK CELEBRATION

               Week (21 – 24, 2019)                 

MLK 2019 Birthday Celebration: Collaboration between NCAT & UNCG

21st - MLK National Day of Service to Community.

22nd - MLK Candle Light March: NCAT, Reflection Pool @ 5:30 pm.

        - MLK Oratory Award Contest, Harrison Auditorium, NCAT@ 7 pm, (FREE).

23rd- MLK Faculty/ Staff Reception with Guest Speaker, 3-4 pm, New Student Center Room 342.

-MLK Formal Commemorative Program: Guest Speaker: Ilyasah Shabazz, @UNCG Auditorium,   7 pm, (FREE)  (Transportation available for NCAT Students in front of the Student Center every 15 minutes Beginning @ 6: 16 pm) – (FREE).
31st- Intercultural & Global Exchanges: Monthly discussions ( MSC and International Affairs Collaboration), Multicultural Student Center, Suite 367, Student Center @ 3:30 pm- 4:30pm. Held on the last Thursday of each month. Discussion Topics TBD.          

February: Black History Month (BHM)

& PRIDE WEEK (LGBTQA+)

 1st -  February 1st Sit-In Celebration: Alumni Foundation @7:30 am.

 8th -  Lunch and Learn: “Being Black in America: Video and Discussion, (FREE) @ 12 pm – 2 pm; hosted by the MSC, Suite 367; (Lunch provided for the first 15 participants to RSVP).

18th – 23rd - PRIDE Week: (TBD). (*) (Other Activities are forthcoming), (MSC & PRISM Collaboration)

27th – 28th - BHM Team Quiz Bowl Competition @ 7 pm Harrison Auditorium:

1st Place; 2nd Place Winners & 3rd Place Team Winners; Trophy Prizes. Each team will consist of 5 members.  Winning teams will be recognized during the Annual Spring GALA Awards.
