Homecoming Parade 2018

The Greatest Homecoming on Earth will soon be upon us, and we are so excited that you are interested in experiencing it with us. This year we are accepting 15 bands and 5 drum lines. If you plan to participate, you must register as a band or drum line. A marching band shall consist of a group of instrumental musicians who perform musical selections while marching with a combined group of auxiliary units such as dancers, a flag corp, and an instrumentation of varied brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. A drumline shall consist of a section of only percussion instruments usually played as part of a musical marching ensemble. Only high school and middle schools groups are eligible for the performance prize. Please be advised that there is no entry fee. The promo code for the application will be issued soon. Go to the homecoming page, then go to the top left and click payment, and click entry form for bands. Once the number of entries list has been met, we will close the application portal. Please see the Homecoming page.

In addition, we will provide pizza and a drink after the parade in the Holland Bowl which is at the end of the parade route located across from the University Book Store and in front of the Williams Dining Hall. The winning band and drum line will be announced and provided with football game tickets. Please make plans to budget for game tickets in the event that your band or drum line is not announced as a winner.

The honorarium is as follows: The first seven registered bands will receive $500, the first three drum lines registered will receive $300. Only high schools and middles schools qualify for honorariums. In regards to game day tickets for the winning band and drum line, we will not provide more than 10 tickets over the number of students in your band or drum line. Your numbers should include the Director of Bands, Assistant Director of Bands, Band Staff and the total number of band members or drum line members. The parade lineup will be first come, first serve. Your entire group will need to be in place to be placed in the line up in order of arrival. See you at GHOE!

Please see the information for Homecoming Ticket Prices.
